Continuous Improvement
Purpose
Interns will assist in the development and improvement of operations processes. Students will be responsible for gathering and entering as well as working with the Technical and Plant Manager for continuous improvement of reliability systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for successful completion of simple or basic project development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications, maintaining process documentation, testing and validating processes, equipment and/or tooling
- Assists in creating concepts, designs, or documents for new processes
- Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results
- Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions and assists in implementation
- Maintain accurate data records and entries
- Existing process improvement
- Create/update work instructions for existing processes
- Assist Process Engineer and Technical Manager
- Contribute to a safe work environment in all activities
- Assist with continuous improvement projects
- Assist on other projects as need arises

Required Qualifications
- Engineering, Business, Renewable materials related majors preferred
- 3.75 GPA or better a plus
- Focused on safety
- Good organizational / communication skills
- Ability to work on feet or in office environment most of day, whatever need is for the task
- Punctual and reliable; flexibility/ability to perform shift work
- Willingness to learn on the job
