Duties and Responsibilities:  Develop and advise tribal, state, federal and international biologists on statistical and quantitative methods, tools and models needed for management of fish, shellfish, and habitat. This position will provide statistical analysis and modeling services to Tribal and Commission technical staffs. These services include: assisting in the development and application of fisheries management and harvest models; conducting complex statistical analyses; assisting in the development of study designs and sampling strategies; providing statistical consulting to Tribal and Commission staff; and report writing.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or other related Quantitative Science OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of the application of statistical methods to biological problems and fishery management. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and statistical software. Must be fluent in at least one programming language. Must be able to communicate clearly in written and oral form.
