Spring 2024 Corporate Development Intern

JOB TITLE:                  Corporate Development Intern

 

REPORTS TO:            Associate Director of Corporate Development  

 

JOB SUMMARY:        The Corporate Development Intern will assist the Development department with annual fundraising efforts that include, but are not limited to, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding corporate and foundation donors. 

 

Each intern is supported by the HR Manager, who manages the internship experience.

 

This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in planning and executing cause marketing campaigns/projects 
  • Responsible for the execution of the annual statewide Jack in the Box campaign  
  • Corporate donor solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship 
  • Ensure deliverables are met for national campaigns and partners
  • Responsible for Salesforce database entry for action tracking
  • Assist in creating promotions of the month emails and marketing requests.
  • Provide administrative support for the corporate development department.
  • Perform other duties as needed

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires excellent project management, writing, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to learn 
  • Live Events experience preferred but not required
  • Exemplary customer service skills and attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office, Outlook and donor database management software (Salesforce)
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of office equipment
  • Minimum of 15-20 hour work week preferred 
  • Must be flexible and have the ability to multitask
  • Comfort with cold-calling solicitations 
  • Caring professional with a strong knowledge of standard office protocol and behavior
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Effective problem solver
