Event Planning (Trade Marketing) 

 At Carnival Cruise Line, the Trade Marketing department is the creative force behind events and experiences that leave an indelible mark on our guests. This department is the heartbeat of our engagement with travel partners and professionals worldwide, orchestrating spectacular events that strengthen relationships and elevate our brand. As an Event Planning Intern, you'll be at the forefront of crafting and executing these remarkable experiences. You'll contribute to the design, planning, and execution of marketing events that captivate audiences, driving excitement and anticipation for unforgettable journeys with Carnival. This internship is your ticket to gaining hands-on experience in the dynamic world of event planning, learning from the best, and playing a vital role in creating magical moments for travelers globally. Essential functions may include and are not limited to: 

 Event Planning Responsibilities: 

  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of trade marketing events and activities.
  • Venue Selection: Research and recommend suitable event venues, considering logistics and budget.
  • Logistics Management: Help manage event logistics, including transportation, catering, accommodations, and equipment.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with event vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure services meet event requirements.
  • Event Promotion: Contribute to the development of event promotion materials and strategies.
  • Attendee Management: Assist in managing event registrations, RSVPs, and attendee lists.
  • Event Materials: Coordinate the creation and distribution of event materials, such as badges, agendas, and signage.
  • On-Site Support: Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Assist in post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and provide insights for improvement.
  • Event Calendar Management: Help manage the trade marketing event calendar, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

 Qualifications: 

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and vendors effectively.
  • Creativity: A creative mindset with the ability to conceptualize and plan innovative event experiences.
  • Organization: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive problem-solving skills to address event-related challenges.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing event requirements and circumstances.
  • Time Management: Strong time-management skills to ensure events are executed seamlessly.
  • Customer Service Skills: A customer-focused attitude with a dedication to delivering outstanding event experiences.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event planning software is a plus.
