Requisition Summary
Kenworth Division of PACCAR is looking for highly motivated Accounting Interns who are interested in gaining professional accounting experience in an industry-leading manufacturing company to join our 2024 Internship Program in Kirkland, WA.
Internships include unique learning opportunities such as:
- Learn first-hand from the industry’s top professionals
- Work directly with Senior Managers and Controllers
- Develop mentoring relationships with experienced accountants
- Gain valuable hands-on experience
Internships are scheduled to begin in May or June 2024
Interns will either work at our Renton Campus or our Kirkland Campus
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end closing procedures, including reconciliation, journal entries, and reporting
- Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley auditing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Provide financial analysis that supports company decisions
- Participate in additional projects designed to make company operations more effective and efficient
Skills / Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Resourceful and a self-starter
- Strong professionalism
- Analytical and critical thinking
- Sense of urgency
Education
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or other related fields.

At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors, including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for internship positions is $25 an hour for undergraduate students and $30 an hour for graduate students. Additionally, this role is eligible for a range of benefit options listed above.
