Cybersecurity Intern

Primary Function:
Perform cybersecurity intelligence tasks and support the implementation of security policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular cybersecurity tasks.
   1. Conduct threat intelligence analysis.
   2. Support threat triage and hunting.
   3. Monitor mail and device quarantines.
   4. Support risk assessments.
2. Support the provisioning and routine maintenance of a M365 Defender Security Environment.
   1. Implement and adjust security policies.
   2. Test security policies and procedures for effectiveness.
   3. Configure security controls in accordance with US Government standards, including NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.
3. Support the development of cybersecurity documentation.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

Presently enrolled in an institution of higher learning to obtain a degree in Information Technology or related discipline or 6 months or more of related experience.

Experience with M365 Defender, NIST SP 800-171 and/or CMMC a plus.

Must be able to work 30-40 hours per week during the summer. Would prefer to continue employment on a part-time basis during school semester, adjusted fit school schedule.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet – typical of what is generally found in an office setting.
