Rafting Outfitter Office Staff

Employer: Teton Whitewater 

 

Job Type: Summer Seasonal, paid internship available

 

Pay: Starting at $575/week. Additional raises available based on experience and certifications

Job Location: Jackson, Wyoming

 

Industry: Recreation, Whitewater Rafting

 

Start and End Date: May 13th - September 28th (flexible)

 

Job Expectations:

  • Treat all guests and employees in a kind, respectful way
  • Make reservations, answer phones and respond to emails
  • Check in guests and prepare them for their trip
  • Answer questions and respond to special requests
  • Sell merchandise, work with cash till,  process payments and stock inventory as needed
  • Keep office space clean and tidy
  • Drive all company vehicles, trailers, and equipment safely
  • Attend meetings and stay up to date on all required certifications

 

Sometimes you may be asked to perform additional duties outside of the normal office responsibilities, such as driving a scenic shuttle, driving the bus (as applicable), or having a project day. A week of work is considered 5 days with 2 days off, any additional time worked is compensated. All required training for this position is paid. Employees twenty-one years and older may be asked to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL). CPR/AED and Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certifications are recommended.

 

Perks of the Job:

In-house training is available for obtaining a CDL, CPR/AED and WFA certifications if not already held. Housing and food is provided for the season. Accommodations are in the form of a communal dining hall and laundry room, an assigned bathroom/shower, and either a platform tent or a basic cabin. Food is provided as a stocked pantry and fridge for you to cook your own meals from. There are employee rafts, trailers and gear that are available for recreational use on days off and before/after work hours.
