What I liked
I really enjoyed the hands-on experience that I had and the ambiguity that existed with the projects. Having autonomy as a team leader taught gave me the opportunity to develop soft skills and learn how to lead teams successfully in the business environment.
What I wish was different
I wish that the client was a little more on the ball with getting us some key information about their business because they would have helped us to deliver a better final deliverable. This was not the fault of the RBDC however.
Advice
Great experience if you are looking to be able to apply your in-class knowledge in a business environment.

What I liked
I appreciate the experiences of working with real clients like Emerson and cities' Human Resources Managers. The projects were challenging at times but I was able to use the knowledge that I learned in school such as business analysis, Microsoft offices programs, business writing, etc. I also learned more about Google Docs/Sheets/Slides during the internship. By leading 2 different teams I was able to apply and practice my leadership skill a whole lot more.
What I wish was different
The clients for both projects either didn't show up or show up very late in the semester. I wish they were with us from the beginning so both teams weren't so stressed out about not being able to finish everything on time.
Advice
If you're interested in internship with RBDC, choose your preferred project(s) wisely. It will affect greatly your entire experience with the internship.

What I liked
I loved being on a 5 person team where I felt like my contributions and skills made an impact not only on myself and my team, but the client as well.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have balanced my time a little better. There were so many books I could have read that would have helped me and my team. But I didn't make enough time.
Advice
Don't plan out every minute of your day with something structured. Give yourself time to do things that will benefit you fundamentally, like personal study time to read books, writing in a journal each day about what your hopes were and what you learned. Your learning will increase exponentially.

What I liked
I loved interning with the RBDC! I got to work with on-campus students as well as online students. It was a wonderful opportunity to work in a professional setting for local businesses and organizations. I was able to utilize the teamwork skills I had developed to accomplish tasks and solve problems.
What I wish was different
Sometimes it was hard to get in contact with clients, which would slow down our progress. I wish we could have had more timely communication.
Advice
This is a really great opportunity to hone and show your skills to professionals in the area. The project managers and leaders really want to see you succeed and they strive to help you accomplish your assignments.
