Cattle Distribution Coordinator
Adams Land & Cattle is searching for an individual with cattle experience, excellent communication skills, and high attention to detail to join our team as a Cattle Distribution Coordinator. Prior to leaving the lot, each animal is electronically verified to ensure they are ready to go to the packing plant. The Cattle Distribution Coordinator will be responsible for communicating with truck drivers as well as within our cattle operations teams to ensure cattle are verified and shipped on schedule. This individual will play a vital role in data collection and verification, as they will monitor and maintain the flow of information within our cattle management software. This position is based at our state-of-the-art loadout facility on our South Lot in Broken Bow, Nebraska.
This person will be responsible for:
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinating cattle movements within the feedyard and communicating with other departments, as needed.
Shipping outgoing cattle, through movement, counting, and verifying of cattle, as well as communicating with trucker.
Assisting supervisor with loadout schedule, shipping order, and verify program.
Monitoring and maintaining reports and information flow to computers by inputting records in accordance with regulations and protocols.
Communicating constantly within team and with other teams to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Safely operating equipment (e.g. side-by-sides, light wagon, skid steers, tractors, pay loaders, mobile hospitals, trucks and trailers).
Maintaining, cleaning, washing, and disinfecting equipment and facilities daily and as needed.
Troubleshooting computer issues and contacting leadership and/or IT as needed.
Staying current with all required training and SOP’s.
Meeting punctuality and attendance expectations.
Assisting in other areas of cattle production as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Assisting with the unloading and movement of incoming cattle.
Assisting with the flow of cattle to and from the processing/sorting facility.
Checking water tanks to ensure they are functional.
Gathering loose cattle and taking them to their appropriate pens.
Skills and qualifications:
Previous cattle handling and BQA knowledge and experience.
Knowledge of sick or injured cattle, including basic animal health diagnosis.

This position requires:
Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to work fluctuating hours and holidays.
Exerting 25-50 pounds of force rarely; 10-20 pounds frequently. Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, stairs, reaching/handling/grasping occasionally; kneeling/crouching rarely.
Compensation Details:
Starting Wage: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
