Work Study - Greenhouse Assistant

Position Summary:

The successful applicant will support ongoing research in Controlled Environment Plant Physiology. Responsibilities will include assisting with laboratory, growth chamber, and greenhouse activities. The position is based in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences laboratory, with additional duties at the Sixth Street Greenhouse in Moscow.

Our research focuses on Controlled Environment Horticulture, with an emphasis on optimizing crop production and enhancing plant responses to abiotic stresses.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist research personnel with experiments, including data collection, entry, and organization

· Prepare culture media for laboratory use

· Conduct plant micropropagation (tissue culture)

· Support general maintenance of the laboratory, greenhouse, and growth chambers

· Perform routine plant care, including planting, watering, and weeding
