What You'll Do:

  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with automotive companies, defense/aerospace, vendors, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to drive adoption of Microvast's battery technology solutions
  • Own the Sales Cycle: Lead aggressive prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing sales opportunities for commercial electric vehicle battery systems using various sourcing channels and industry networks
  • Present Value-Based Solutions: Deliver compelling presentations to OEMs showcasing Microvast's fast-charging battery technology, energy storage systems, and services tailored to their specific electrification needs
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with solution advisors, sales directors, and technical teams to strategize and close high-value opportunities in the commercial EV market
  • Support Product Development: Work closely with product management and engineering teams on battery certification projects and OEM-specific requirements
  • Maintain Client Relationships: Participate in regular status calls with clients and partners, establishing quarterly business reviews to retain and grow strategic partnerships
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed individual daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets while contributing to overall company growth objectives
  • Leverage CRM Systems: Utilize tools to track all sales activities, pipeline management, and customer interactions
  • Industry Expertise: Develop and maintain deep understanding of automotive electrification trends, EV market dynamics, battery technology requirements, and competitive landscape
  • Market Intelligence: Provide product pricing feedback and market insights to leadership based on current trends in both day-to-day operations and capital project business
  • Solution Development: Build value propositions by understanding market needs from the customer perspective, creating tailored battery solutions and messaging

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in automotive or clean technology
  • Proven business development background with expertise in new customer acquisition and lead generation

Sales Excellence:

  • Successful track record of generating and closing complex, high-value sales opportunities
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and active listening skills
  • Master negotiator with demonstrated ability to close deals and drive revenue
  • Experience with challenger sales methodologies and consultative selling approaches

Industry Knowledge:

  • Automotive industry experience strongly preferred (OEM relationships, commercial vehicles, electrification trends)
  • Understanding of battery technology, energy storage systems, or related clean technology solutions a plus
  • Familiarity with automotive CRM systems and industry processes

Professional Skills:

  • High workplace efficiency with strong project management and multitasking abilities
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
  • Collaborative approach to working across multiple departments to deliver integrated solutions
  • Committed to continuous learning about evolving EV technology and market dynamics

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% nationwide to meet with clients and attend industry events
  • Experience participating in industry councils, trade associations, and automotive conferences
  • Proven ability to establish trusted advisor relationships with C-level executives and key decision makers
  • Government business development experience preferred and existing relationships with federal, state, or local government agencies and proven success in doing so
  • Proven ability to influence government decision makers
  • Active DOD TS clearance
