Director of Intake and Admissions
Sonora Behavioral Health, Tucson’s largest inpatient psychiatric hospital, is looking for a Director of Intake & Admissions to direct all assessment and referral activities at the hospital. This position manages the daily operations of the Intake & Admissions Department and supervises the delivery of services by staff. Tracks and trends information obtained through performance improvement activities and uses information for quality improvement. Oversees the admissions process for patients. Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining revenue-generating strategies; determining and implementing admissions best-practices; and promoting the hospital.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Intake and Admissions manages the daily operations of the Intake & Admissions Department of Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital. Supervises the delivery of services by staff. Tracks and trends information obtained through performance improvement activities and uses information for quality improvement. Admits patients by directing the admissions process; developing, implementing and maintaining revenue-generating strategies; determining and implementing admissions best-practices; and promoting the hospital.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health discipline and current licensure or a degree in Nursing and a current RN license.
- Independent licensure under the AZ State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners preferred.
- CPR and 1st Aid
- Handle with Care
- 1 year of clinical experience in a psychiatric facility and 1 year of experience in crisis evaluation. Required.
- 5 years of experience of assessment and referral preferred.
- 1 year of management experience preferred.
