Superintendent of Schools

The Board of Education of the St. Regis Falls Central School District, located in the western part of Franklin County, is seeking a highly qualified educational leader to fill the position of Superintendent of Schools. The current Superintendent Wayne Walbridge is retiring June 30th, 2019 after many years of distinguished service for St. Regis Falls and other Northern New York Schools. The search process will be conducted over the next several months, with the new Superintendent taking office on July 1st, 2019. NYS Certification as a School District Administrator or School District Leader is required and the Board will offer a salary of $115,000-$130,000.

St. Regis Falls Central School District provides a public education to approximately 267 students from the towns of Dickinson, Hopkinton, Lawrence, Santa Clara and Waverly which encompass an area of about 239 square miles. The School District has a full range of educational, athletic and co-curricular activities which provide ample opportunities for students to express their interests. Students are housed in a single facility that provides for an effective educational program. The facility has numerous state of the art features including a 400-seat auditorium, a media center, two microcomputer labs and a spacious gymnasium.

The St. Regis Falls Central School District Board of Education is seeking a committed, energetic leader for an enterprising, community based school. The successful candidate must have strong human relations, educational, organizational and leadership skills. The Board of Education requires a candidate who must:

• Hold or be eligible for New York State certification as a School District Administrator or School District Leader
• Have a vision for creating continuous growth for all students
• Be committed to upholding high professional standards and all school policies in a firm, fair and consistent manner
• Demonstrate successful administrative experience and a commitment to producing high quality educational programs that
promote the development of engaged and successful students
•Demonstrate leadership implementing a rigorous and relevant education program utilizing the NYS Next Generation Standards as a foundation for local curriculum development.
• Be committed to keeping the Board of Education well informed; keeping the lines of communication open between the school, parents and community; and working together as a team
• Engage the community in educational program planning, budget planning and implementation of same
• Possess the ability to maintain positive discipline and to command the respect of students, staff and the community
