UofI Co-op Program Application | June 2019 Co-op

This application is the first step (and the vetting process) to participate in the new College of Engineering Co-op Program at the University of Idaho. *In completing this application, you are applying for the June 2019 Co-op (approx. June-Dec 2019).* Priority application deadline is Friday, February 8th! Upon successful admission into the program, you will receive further instructions and have the opportunity to view and apply to individual co-op jobs.

About the Program:
A co-op, short for cooperative education, gives the opportunity to gain real work experience that is related to your major or career goals. A typical program plan is to alternate terms of full-time classroom study with 6 month terms of full-time, discipline-related employment. You can complete 1-2 co-ops (semester + summer), and gain up to a year of career experience prior to graduation

Qualifications:
  • Junior Standing in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Apply & Admitted U of I Student
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.5

Required Documents: Resume (highly encouraged that you have your resume reviewed by Career Services prior to application) & Statement of Purpose (500 word maximum - include why you want to participate in the Co-op program, any areas of significant interest (industries, companies, educational interests...) , and what strengths/skills you bring to the program.)
