Associate Plant Manager / Plant Manager

Frozen food processing company looking for Associate Plant Manager/Plant Manager (experienced level management)
Location: Murfreesboro, TN

PRODUCTION MANAGER INTRODUCTION:
This job requires the manager to be down at the plant overseeing staff. Seeking an experienced candidate for position that will be responsible for the efficient manufacturing of food production within company. This managerial role entails overseeing daily operations, staff rotations, processing equipment, efficiency, product quality, training and safety.
PRODUCTION MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Schedule production of goods, including resource requirements based on purchase orders
  • Coordinates supplies, raw materials, and ingredients from the warehouse
  • Sets employee schedules and ensures efficient employee rotation throughout the production facility to run at targeted throughput
  • Coordinate employees on positions in production line, including cooking, mixing, packaging, labeling, weighing to fulfill orders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that downtime is minimized and yield is maximized.
  • Understands and follows production procedures for equipment operating reliability
  • Perform routine repairs, adjustments and equipment troubleshooting
  • Ensure the safety of all employees in the operation of equipment through proper training, enforcement of safety rules, and following proper procedures of SOP's, GMP's, QC, HACCP, and sanitation procedures
  • Cross train in various functions of the department and assist team members whenever needed
  • FIFO/LIFO methods for food storage, material handling
  • Ensures compliance with all Company Quality Control policies, as well as all Federal, State and OSHA regulations
  • Responsible to provide proper and accurate documentation of all daily records
  • Reports to the V.P.
PRODUCTION MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 3-4 years food production experience or at minimum College Degree with 2 years of relative industry experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP & GMP required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership experience in a Team setting preferred
  • Daily use of basic computer skills, MS Office, Email
  • Effective oral and written communication. Math and reading comprehension
  • Excellent critical and analytical skills
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese or Spanish a plus
  • Willingness to work holidays and weekends (if necessary)
