Associate Director of Career Education

The Associate Director of Career Education is a full-time, year-round position that serves as the Career Center’s lead for the CSU Career Readiness Competencies initiatives, and provides leadership and special focus on inclusive career education. This role provides high-level vision, strategy, and leadership to the Career Education Student Team, and supervises a group of professional career educators. The Associate Director collaborates with departments across the Division of Student Affairs in order to integrate career education into various pockets of campus programming. This role serves as a key member of the Career Education Leadership Team, and serves as a substitute in the absence of the Director of Career Education.
 
Required Qualifications:
·        Master’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, education, career counseling, liberal arts, or a related field
·        One year of experience directly supervising professional or student staff
·        Three years of experience providing career-related coaching/advising
·        Experience with and commitment to serving marginalized student populations within a social justice framework
