Order Intake/Shipping Manager:
Job Requirements:
- Expedite out-of-state orders by working with office administration and loading dock supervisors
- Collect/file printed order tickets and update orders in computer to prepare for shipping
- Prepare correspondence and manage related issues pertaining to outgoing shipments
- Communication with freight carriers and customers on active orders/shipments
- Responsible for maintaining shipping calendar, including forwarding tickets/orders to dock supervisors on a weekly basis or as needed per season
- Accurately complete order paperwork for shipments (packing slips, bill of landings, receipts)
- Keep our regular freight carriers up to date with correct order paperwork as well as the Department of Agriculture shipping certificates
- Oversee receiving of transfers and incoming goods
- Work with production and loading dock supervisors to coordinate transfers
- Organize and complete shipping paperwork/order logistics in a timely fashion
- Work in communication with customers to schedule deliveries, retail and wholesale
- Ensure vehicle/carrier compliance of plates, permits, and inspections for the DOT and FMCSA
- Maintain records of driver's logs and vehicle inspections on a weekly basis
- Work with purchasing to coordinate delivery/pickup of materials needed for customer orders and stock for wholesale/retail locations
- Responsible for accurate billing of out-of-state orders to be shipped and maintaining invoice log
- Work with accounting to make sure customer payment terms are correct prior to shipment, monies to be received on time in advance to shipment
- Ensure that freight carriers/brokers have correct addresses, billing information, and contacts
- Ensure CDL drug test compliance
