Production Artist
Position Summary:
Handle multiple types of work within the department including prepress, proofing, template and artwork updates depending on workload.
Essential Functions/ Key Accountabilities:
- Prepress
- Prepare artwork files for color separation/production.
- Post files to FTP site for vendors.
- Proofing
- Check Product and packaging samples for color, construction, dimensions, etc.
- Log comments in proof database and send to Product Manager.
- Artwork Updates due to:
- Vendor changeovers.
- Format changes (value engineering, etc.)
- Canadian compliance.
- Updated warnings/other safety labeling requirements.
- Packaging and Templates
- Create and update product and packaging templates
- Maintain and update package warnings, cautionary statements
Skills required:
- Strong Mac skills
- Strong knowledge of color separation and commercial printing processes
- Solid knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to take direction, follow through and meet deadlines as indicated
- Ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately
- Good communication and collaboration skills; this position will require working with people in various departments
Other Requirements:
- Education: Minimum of a BA required

Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
