POSITION: Middle School AVID teacher (grades 6, 7 and 8) at Fort Lupton Middle School. Fort Lupton Middle School is an AVID demonstration school. Start date is August 1, 2019.

SALARY RANGE: Licensed Staff Salary Schedule plus School District Comprehensive Benefits Package. We accept up to thirty years of experience. Salary Range of $38,510 - $79,703 (2019-2020 salary schedule) depending on experience and education with additional opportunities for tuition reimbursement.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
  • Minimum B. A. or B. S. in Education with CDE Initial or Professional Teacher License.
  • Knowledge of AVID strategies, as well as current research, best practices, and trends in middle level instruction.
  • Willing and able to obtain any necessary additional training in AVID,
  • Successful leadership experience as a teacher leader or grade level leader; prefer experience with AVID strategies at the elementary and/or secondary level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado standards and assessments and the ability to facilitate data driven instruction and the standards based classroom.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success/experience in middle school English Language Arts, mathematics, science and social studies.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, innovative thinking and creative problem solving skills.
  • Strong team leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of a middle school team. Experience with Middle School grade level teaming is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to relate effectively with a diverse staff, students, parents, and community.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student and staff success and the ability to work with teachers, teaching teams, students, parents and the community to achieve goals.
  • Computer and Technology skills preferred. Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with diverse populations. Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Coaching available.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Assignment starting date is August 1, 2019.
