This position is located in the Corrective Action & Quality Assurance Section of the Underground Storage Tank Management Division of the Bureau of Land & Waste Management. The selected applicant will be responsible for oversight of assessment investigations and cleanup of releases from regulated underground storage tanks. Job duties will include: review of assessment or corrective action plans and reports for technical completeness and conformance with risk-based criteria; preparation, review and approval of cost agreements, adhering to established cost and pricing criteria; development and management of active corrective action bid specification; coordination of all permits needed to complete assessment or corrective action (active and/or via monitored natural attenuation); providing written correspondence to UST owners, operators, and contractors; conducting limited field investigations and environmental sampling; review Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans; completing field audits of directed work activities; and perform database and records management. Job duties may also include: management of state-lead contracts for various site rehabilitation activities; coordination of emergency response actions, as needed; assistance with posting of Pubic Notices for UST corrective action activities; and assistance with verifying location data for confirmed UST releases or other objectives as defined by management
