Business Development Coordinator

Alta Science & Engineering, Inc. is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for a Business Development Coordinator position to be based in our Boise or Moscow, Idaho office. This position will support science and engineering consulting projects. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual who can work well both independently and as part of a fun, energetic team across multiple offices in the Pacific Northwest. This position is full-time with benefits.

Responsibilities May Include:
• Coordination of proposals (RFQs, RFPs, letters) from opportunity analysis through on-time submission of a compliant, professional proposal which meets all requirements.
• Implementation of key strategic marketing projects including website, social media, and other marketing related initiative.
• Provide support for the development of Alta presentations, generation of press releases, and company newsletters.
• Planning and preparing for all trade show events, business development, and marketing activities.
• Maintain CRM with accurate and current information to aid in business development efforts.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism during interactions with Alta staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Provide timely communication with supervisor regarding work-related matters.
• Actively promote good Health and Safety practices at all times.

Required Qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required – preference in Marketing, Communication, English or a related field (Business, Science, Engineering).
• 3+ years of experience with related consulting business.
• Experience with state and federal procurement processes.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; strong technical writing skills.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Excellent networking abilities and be able to apply new trends and techniques for marketing and bring a lot of energy to the team.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.

Desired Qualifications: 
• 5+ years of marketing experience in a professional environment.
• Well-developed working knowledge of web based and print advertising/marketing tools.
• Experience with planning and executing trade show events.
• Previous experience in proposal management with engineering/construction industry is preferred, specifically as a small business.
• Experience with Axium/Ajera CRM and related tools.
• Ability to work and coordinate with company associates/partners to discover project opportunities with new and existing clients.
