Senior Video Producer, Democratic Attorneys General Association

Position Summary

The Democratic Attorneys General Association is looking for a full time Senior Video Producer to oversee the DAGA studio and create video content. The ideal candidate has a passion for video production, promoting Democratic ideals, and Democratic Attorneys General.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Senior Video Producer is responsible for the production of creative and innovative videos for the Democratic Attorneys General Association; videos that will amplify Democratic Attorneys Generals and candidates as well as showcase the committee. The Senior Video Producer will work on a variety of pieces including rapid response videos, political ads, animations, political rallies, field projects, viral videos, studio-based productions, narrative docs, and educational series. The Senior Video Producer should have excellent storytelling skills, a big imagination, advanced technical skills and be an excellent team player. The Senior Video Producer will value the aesthetics of filmmaking and style guide, yet familiar with reality of short-form storytelling and social media video today.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
·      Create innovative, socially shareable videos in support of DAGA’s mission, from idea conception to delivery, including shooting, lighting, editing, graphics, sound, and other post-production elements;
·      Think outside of the box and pitch ideas to amplify Democratic AGs and candidates to existing supporters and new audiences;
·      Adhere to and elevate the standards and quality of DAGA’s style guide;
·      Produce live events through livestreams and real-time captures;
·      Manage DAGA studio to create compelling, high-production, videos
·      Along with digital content creator and communications and digital team, manage video requests and help establish project timelines to fit overall content calendar;
·      Adapt schedules and projects accordingly in a fast-paced, flexible work environment with multiple organizational priorities;
·      Work to streamline DAGA’s editing and shooting process to create an efficient and seamless process from conception to delivery
·      Manage contractor/fellows on storyboarding, editing, and graphic design as needed to assure timely, consistent delivery of content within budget, style, and messaging guidelines.

Qualifications:
·      Bachelor's Degree in Film plus at least five years in real-world video production OR equivalent work experience or certification.
·      Strong portfolio of video projects showcasing a true mastery of skills from concept to completion.
·      Demonstrated ability to be a team player with a positive attitude.
·      Experience working in the field, filming in a variety of locations and mediums
·      Problem solving skills and shows initiative to find solutions.
·      Advanced experience using Adobe Creative Cloud products including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or others.
·      Advanced experience shooting with large format cameras with interchangeable lenses.
·      Advanced motion graphics experience, whether creating graphics from scratch in After Effects or using templates.
·      Experience working with diverse groups of stakeholders including elected officials and candidates or other principals, being calm under pressure, and managing a diversity of requirements for each project.
·      Strong social media skills and understanding of platforms
·      Organized and detail oriented.
·      Flexibility with adjusting priorities and a fast-pace environment
·      Project management skills that enable the juggling of multiple tasks, allocating and optimizing resources and managing timelines
·      Experience in a non-profit, political, government, or academic setting a plus
·      Sense of humor and positive attitude
·      Commitment to DAGA’s mission
