The Barnyard Daycare and Learning Center is currently looking for staff to join our team. Do you love children? Do you like to laugh and have fun? Whether you're a seasoned veteran or new to the child care field, we'd love to hear from you. We will be open from 630am- 6pm Monday- Friday and are looking to fill several positions. We offer competitive pay, paid holidays, benefits (health, vision, dental, 401k) and paid vacation. Work a minimum of 15 hours per week for an added $300 per month through a Wage Enhancement Program provided through the State of Idaho.

The following qualifications are required:
  • Boise City Childcare License – renewed annually
  • Pediatric CPR and First Aid – renewed annually
  • Passionate about the development and well-being of children
  • Must be willing to participate in IdahoSTARS and be registered with them within the first 90 days of employment
  • Perform basic and necessary care-giving requirements which could include diaper changes and assisting in the restroom
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage full classrooms, and respectfully guide teacher assistant
Daily tasks would include the following:
  • Creating and supervising projects and crafts
  • Assist in planning and implementing curriculum with teachers and management
  • Clean up after meals, which includes, cleaning the children, tables, sweeping, and mopping floors etc.
  • Daily classroom cleaning, organization and picking up
  • Diapering children/ toileting as needed
  • Ability to move with ease from the ground to standing
  • Ability to lift children, hold and carry them
  • Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times
  • Communicating with parents, team member and children
