DAIRYLAND POWER COOPERATIVE has an immediate opening for a Student, Graphic Design/PrePress. Under close and immediate supervision, create and design publications, marketing materials, bill inserts and miscellaneous printed materials for cooperatives, external clients and Dairyland Departments using a variety of computerized graphic design software. Prepare projects for printing using computer to plate software and hardware to produce plates for use on print shop presses. Communicate and work directly with cooperatives and various external and internal clients. Must meet deadlines.
Education & Experience: Must be a current student in the field of Graphic Design.
Skills: Experience with InDesign graphic design software. Understanding of digital file formats. General experience and knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat and image scanners. General knowledge of offset printing process. Knowledge of imposition software, process and spot colors, as well as color management skills. Knowledge of paper types and weights. Knowledge of logo printing standards and copyright laws. General experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet preferred. Computer literacy, communication and customer service skills necessary. Math and proofreading skills required.
