Civil Engineer I – Entry Level (0-2 years’ experience)         (near Aspen, Colorado)

Roaring Fork Engineering (RFE) is seeking an entry level Civil Engineer to join our team in Carbondale near Aspen, Colorado. The position is focused on land development, municipal infrastructure, transportation, water/wastewater, and water resource engineering. Our geographical market is the Roaring Fork Valley encompassing Aspen, Snowmass, Carbondale, Basalt and Glenwood Springs. RFE is a 9-person firm and is planning to expand in the region. We are seeking an entry level individual eager to learn and expand their civil engineering skill set. We have a diversified client mix including the City of Aspen, Habitat for Humanity, Aspen Skiing Company, Pitkin County, the Town of Carbondale, Basalt Sanitation District, as well as a number of architects and developers. Typical Responsibilities:
·        Design of assigned civil engineering projects.
·        Production of plans and specifications.
·        Typically will be working on multiple projects for multiple clients simultaneously.
·        Interact with other disciplines and regulators as needed.
·        Support the project manager.

Required skills/qualifications:
·        Has obtained or prior to employment has obtained a Civil Engineering degree.
·        Has obtained EIT certification or able to obtain an EIT certification within 1 year of employment.

Additional Desired Skills:
·        Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D.
·        Good interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with clients, regulatory agencies, and co-workers.
·        Internship experience working in a consultant’s office.
·        Roaring Fork Valley experience.
