Aerospace Engineer
Answer Engineering is looking for Staff Engineers to add to our growing team. We are seeking individuals ready to apply all aspects of their engineering education to tackle the challenges of the aerospace community. Duties include aspects of design, development, and analysis. Our projects require engineers to utilize a multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving. The engineer will be responsible to understand and utilize core engineering principles to provide quick and elegant results directly to customers. At Answer Engineering, you are responsible for your own tasks and schedule to which those tasks are completed. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is a must!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical systems design
- Machine design
- Aerodynamics & aircraft loads
- Stress analysis
- Finite element analysis
- CAD & FEA modeling
- Technical engineering reporting
- Testing & data acquisition
- Coordination of design requirements & constraints
- Working with a team both onsite and remotely
- Creating and delivering presentations to customers
Requirements:
- 3.6 Minimum cumulative GPA
- Bachelors in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Moderate travel
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Coursework & Experience:
- M.S. or PHD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- CAD modeling
- Finite element modeling
- Finite element analysis
- Composite materials mechanics
- Technical writing
- Demonstrated involvement in physical projects (Formula SAE, SAE Heavy Lift, MiniBaja, BotWars, etc.)
- Prior internships
- Graduate teacher fellow or student grader/aide
- Relevant work experience
