Data Analyst (OBT)

ERPI is currently searching for a Data Analyst to join our project team, working with the Army Office of Business Transformation (OBT) government personnel (military and civilian), as liaisons with Domain architecture and portfolio management support teams, to interpret business needs and issues by gathering, analyzing, documenting and validating the Business area’s user and technical (functional/non-functional) requirements. The Data Analyst will provide technical support services to OBT to support the Army Business Enterprise Architecture (ABEA), Enterprise Knowledge Repository (EKR), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Assessment and related data analytics efforts. The Data Analyst will work alongside other business analysts and report directly to the project manager.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Provide direction and advice to facilitate successful implementation and migration of SAP based solutions to include non-SAP components of solutions (database, project support tools, system architecture and platforms, etc.).
  • Review Business requirements, their analytical and operational reporting needs.
  • Identification and standardization of business data requirements with a heavy focus on cross-domain (Master data) requirements
  • Identify Army’s Big Data needs and requirements.
  • Support the development of the Army’s Program’s In-Memory Technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Provide recommendations to ensure the Army’s target Infrastructure design is based on IT best practices for consolidated, pooled, standardized & harmonized architectures.
  • Provide direction and advice to advance the Army’s current data analytics approaches and goals to develop an enterprise-level data analytics capability.
  • Develop senior leader briefings related to Army’s Data Science/Analytics matters.
Responsibilities
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, Data Science or related discipline
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience within Defense/Government consulting and database administration
  • Experience in data modeling and dashboarding tools (Tableau, Qlik, Collibra, or similar)
  • Ability to create enterprise data warehouses, their schemas in SQL
  • Experience in data modeling
  • Active Secret Clearance (Required)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Knowledge of Army Systems: GFEBS, GCSS-A, LMP, DRRS, etc: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF v2.02)
