Landscaping Sales Account Manager

Position: Sales Account Manager
- Responsible to bring a consistent flow of profitable new business to the company, meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Execute the sales and manage all customer relationships
- Work to maintain and improve the company's competitive position to increase market share
- Manage and monitor entire installation/services
- Identify and communicate to production any specific customer preferences or requests for service and immediately works to provide solutions to any customer complaints
- Develop a repeat/referral customer base
- Sell and manage high end residential landscape contracts
- Prospect for new business, developing relationships with contractors, builders, real estate agents and landscape designers, architects & homeowners
- Prepare and present proposals in complete and professional manner, according to company standards
- Follow-up on bids and offers solutions to customers to close the sale
- Work with design and estimating to ensure all estimates are prepared and approved as needed prior to presenting to customer
- Sell projects at approved prices to meet or exceed targeted profit margins
- Conduct site inspection and assessment with Estimators/Designers/Project Managers/Foremen to determine soil type, slope, drainage, exposure, and existing structures, features, roads, and utilities that will affect project and all existing conditions
- Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain, record and track all proposals in progress and do timely follows-up to maximize sales opportunities
- Aggressively pursue all proposals in progress and follow up
- Responsible for conference reports
- Maintain high close ratio on proposals presented
- Ensure strong margin on projects sold with pricing at targeted or above target margins
- Ensure profitable work overall
- Maintain high accuracy and completeness of sales, customer, and prospect database information
- Demonstrate ability to develop a large following
 
 
Requirements:
- Prior Landscape Sales experience 
- More than latent ability in estimating
- Plant identification knowledge
- Design skills
- Computer skills
- Excellent sales skills
 
 
Location: The Hamptons, NY
