Assistant Accounting Manager

Position: Assistant Accounting Manager
- Contribute in all areas of Accounting including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, Job Costing, Invoicing, Sales tracking, and Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Assist in the analysis and improvement of company financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, tracking, analyzing and reporting financial information
- Responsible for assisting with high volume Accounts Receivable processing and payment collection. Collection issues to be reported to immediately
- Responsible to learn, understand, be an expert on landscape costing and billing to be able to navigate questions and advice on billing/costing
- Responsible to be able to answer any accounting questions regarding billing/costing
- Hold people accountable for completing billing timely and accurately
- Responsible for invoices being produced in accordance with company protocol
- Responsible to master POS to accounting connections and make recommendations on troubleshooting as needed
- Responsible to ensure company contract work is following company protocol, including but not limited to signed contracts, deposits, and Capital Improvement forms
- Responsible for bank reconciliations
- Develop custom spreadsheets/reports as directed to strengthen financial analysis
- Fill in in all areas of accounting as needed
- Track expenses and report on trends vs years past and budget
- Responsible for answering customer/vendor questions & concerns accurately, timely and professionally
- Ensure outstanding customer service for all customers entering the company's property, all clients on the telephone, and internal customers and vendors
- Responsible for maintaining confidentiality
- Responsible for following all existing company procedures and protocols
- Responsible for attending all company meetings
Requirements:
- Prior accounting experience required in a professional capacity
Location: The Hamptons, NY
