Director of Career Services

The Oregon Tech Student Affairs Division seeks a full-time Director of Career Services. This position oversees university-wide Career Services for Oregon Tech students and alumni (Klamath Falls, Portland Metro, and online). This includes hiring, training, and supervising unclassified and student employees. Career Services provides programs and services designed to assist students in achieving their academic, personal and professional goals. The Director of Career Services is located on the Portland Metro Campus in Wilsonville and reports to the Associate Dean of Student Services Portland Metro and travels frequently to Klamath Falls.

Responsibilities encompass working with students and alumni, faculty and staff, and a broad range of employers and outside agencies to help Oregon Tech students and alumni achieve their career goals. This includes setting the strategic vision of the department in collaboration with stakeholders across the university, refining existing service delivery and developing new career education and other programs, and providing direct services and career education to students.

Required: Master’s degree in higher education administration, student personnel, counseling or related field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in career services program administration, budgeting and supervision in a university setting.

Preferred: Demonstrated experience in undergraduate Career Services, leading a university department, and commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity as well as excellent interpersonal communication skills including ability to articulate and implement a strategic vision and assess the impacts of generated outcomes.
