Science Teacher

§ Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate

§ Endorsement in Science preferred

§ Familiar with Next Generation Science Standards preferred

§ Excellent knowledge of content area including labs and experiments preferred

§ Ability to utilize data to make student learning decisions

§ Desire and ability to follow and enhance guaranteed and viable curriculum

§ Ability to work in a collaborative environment with staff, being open to give and receive input to improve student learning

§ Commitment to motivating and teaching all students including at risk students

§ Utilize effective teaching methods, strategies, modifications, alternatives etc., for learning to occur for all students

§ Progressive, enthusiastic, positive, friendly, caring, cooperative, patient, student-centered, self-motivated, team player, etc.

§ Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and community

§ Comfortable using technology in instruction
