Senior Analytical Scientist

Responsibilities

  • Independently design analytical experiments needed for various drug discovery and development projects.
  • Provide technical guidance/trainings to analytical teams to efficiently perform analytical works for in-process-control and method development and validation for APIs and DPs.
  • Analyze and interpret results, and provide scientific input to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Evaluate new technologies in the field to enhance team’s productivity and capability.
  • Play a leading role in project management, prepare, review and approve quotes or proposals, supervise teams to ensure completion of all projects with highest quality and within the desired timelines and budget.
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel efficiently, from setting up reasonable work scope, managing analytical teams to updating progress and closing projects.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduates with BS, MS, or Ph D in Chemistry or analytical Chemistry. Minimum of 3 years of Pharmaceutical related lab experience ( industry or academia).
  • Experience developing others/training others
  • Excellent managerial experience in both people and scientific projects.
  • Solid knowledge on principle and application of analytical HPLC, LCMS, preparative HPLC, NMR and SFC.
  • Demonstrated strength in solving complex scientific problems. Able to multi-task.
  • Deep understanding on overall workflow of drug discovery and development. Demonstrated working experience on analytical method development and validation for NDA and ANDA applications and in depth knowledge on CFDA, ICH and FDA requirements are highly desired. 
  • Working experience in pharmaceutical CRO is preferred not required.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal in English and Chinese.
