Junior High Science and/or Social Studies Teacher

Starting Pay $51,500- $66,324, DOE&E. BRING A FRIEND! One Junior High Science and/or Social Studies teacher for Mohave Valley Jr. High School, a 6-8 school with 350 students located in Mohave Valley, just south of Bullhead City, Arizona and east of Laughlin, Nevada and Needles, California, along the west coast of Arizona and the Colorado River, 90 minutes south of Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 hours west of Flagstaff, Arizona, and four hours east of Los Angeles and northwest of Phoenix, Arizona.

Teacher needs to be able to obtain a middle school science and/or social studies endorsement: Already credentialed teachers preferred, but the district will consider candidates willing to obtain appropriate endorsement. Teacher will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and learning, including planning, lesson delivery, grading and assessment, classroom management, student engagement, etc.

Potential for year-end bonuses of $1500-$5000+ depending on student achievement data, evaluation results, and school letter grade. District-paid "Gold Plan" medical, dental, and life insurance; 10 sick days and two personal days per year. There is a potential for district-provided housing for your first year for all out-of-area applicants.
