About The Academy of Alameda Elementary School:

The Position:
The Academy’s upper grades (3-5) are departmentalized with one teacher for Math/Science and one for English Language Arts/Social Studies; each teacher sees a group of students for the morning and then they switch groups for the afternoon.  For the 2020-21 school year, we are seeking applicants for our 5th grade ELA/Social Studies class.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated success in teaching
  • Belief in AoA mission and philosophy
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize student achievement while creating a nurturing and encouraging school environment
  • Experience with and interest in working with high needs students
  • Hold or are working towards California Multiple Subject teaching credential

Compensation and Benefits: Compensation is competitive and based on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and participate in California State Teachers Retirement System.
