Store Planner

POSITION PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of the Store Planner is to assist the Director of Store Planning with the Division and Corporate Leadership teams in the development of creative solutions for store layouts that will be executed by Architectural and Construction Teams. This position is in the corporate office and is responsible for a market area or specific corporate projects, example Fuel Centers, Starbucks, etc...

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ability to develop creative design solutions for department space planning, store interior layouts, and site plans for new and operating stores
  • Able to bring new thinking and design ideas to the business
  • Assist Store Planning Director or Manager with developing store plans for Division and/or Corporate Projects from concept to final plan for small projects, remodels and new stores
  • Assist Senior Store Planner or Manager on surveying operating store conditions and layouts with Division Leadership in developing project scope, capturing existing conditions, and developing concept plans
  • Assist Director Store Planning in developing creative cost-effective solutions for design challenges that meet the needs of the business
  • Support Store Planning Director on mass project rollouts in providing design, plans for specified projects and facilitating plan review with business owners – Starbuck’s, Fuel Centers, Etc…
  • Assist in creating concepts for exterior façade updates using Photoshop
  • Ability to present projects and design ideas to Leadership
  • Able to collaborate, communicate effectively and make decisions on design issues with Development Manager, Real Estate, Construction, Architects, and Consultants

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCES:
Education Level: Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Architecture or other equivalent design degree
Skills and Experiences:

  • Prefer 1 plus years of architectural store design and planning experience
  • Must have minimum of 1-year AutoCAD experience or equivalent
  • Must have knowledge of MS Office Suite of programs.
  • Must have experience with Photoshop
  • Experience with 3D rendering or AutoCAD Revit preferred
  • Must be able to multi-task, work autonomously, and require minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

TRAVEL REQUIRMENTS:
  • Position requires travel of 10% to 20% away from the office


PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
