STUDENT NUTRITION SUPERVISOR

STUDENT NUTRITION SUPERVISOR - Classified Exempt, 215 days/year
STARTING DATE               As soon as possible.
SALARY RANGE    $45,041 – $49,659 - Salary dependent upon education and experience.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership, supervision and expertise in providing a nourishing and enjoyable meal program for the students and staff of the Moscow School District. Makes recommendations for the selection, assignment, transfer and discharge of student nutrition personnel. Assists the Operations Director in preparation of the food service budget and financial reports. Plans, develops and implements policies and procedures necessary to efficiently apply for, account for, safeguard and maintain the public funds of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program. Maintains records as required by the USDA and the Idaho State Department of Education. Makes recommendations for food service equipment and materials. Develops procedures to ensure students with food allergies do not receive food that may be harmful to their health.   
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in one or more of the following areas is required: dietetics, nutrition, food service management, food and supply purchasing, institutional menu planning.
2. Certification as a Food Protection Manager as required by the Idaho Department of Public Health.
3. Previous Supervisory responsibility for 10 or more employees.
4. Proficiency with information and communication technologies.
5. A valid driver’s license is required if the employee operates a district vehicle.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Supervisory experience with federally funded school meals program.
