Project Engineer

Project Engineer
The project engineer will support the Sales, Applications, Project, and R&D teams. The Project Engineer will develop drawings, documentation and BOM’s for current and proposed projects. The Project Engineer will be required to communicate effectively with others in the organization as well as vendors and customers on a regular basis. Occasional site visits may be required for continued training. The focus of the position will be to manage the technical aspects of several ongoing projects. The Project Engineer will be required to generate the following for each assigned project:
· Submittal documentation
· Shop drawings
· Technical specifications
· Drawing/documentation addendums
· Operation and maintenance manuals
· Production ready BOM’s and drawings
The Project Engineer will receive support from Project Management on Scheduling and Budget.
Key Responsibilities
· Support a wide array of technical requests from customers both inside and outside the Nexom organization
· Develop 3D part and assembly models in SolidWorks
· Generation of drawings with varying levels of detail as required from the customer
· Maintain drawings via a redline process, including revision tracking
· Generation and/or evaluation of equipment pricing
· Review and interpret technical equipment specifications
· Source new OTS and custom parts
· Write and compile technical documentation for customer review
· Assist customers with technical clarifications
Qualifications
· BA in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
· Proficient in the use of SolidWorks
· Experience in mechanical equipment design preferred
· Experience in the wastewater industry is a plus
· Ability to interact and communicate effectively within a global team
· Strong organizational and communication skills, above-average mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interact with a diverse customer base
· Ability to manage quality and schedule of time sensitive deliverables with minimal oversite

Salary: $50,000.00 to $62,000.00 /year
