Planning and Zoning Director

Grand County Utah is accepting applications for an energetic, visionary candidate to serve as the Planning and Zoning Director in Moab, UT. Moab is the county seat of Grand County and is a gateway to two national parks, a state park, and year-round outdoor recreation. 

The Planning and Zoning Director performs a variety of complex professional duties related to the planning, organizing, directing and coordination the County Planning and Zoning Division and the County land use code. Currently the Planning and Zoning Director is under the direct supervision of the County Council Administrator and supervises the Planning and Zoning Staff, UMTRA Technical Inspector, Grand County Active Transportation and Trails Staff. Also the Director serves as the management contact for the contract engineers and occasional VISTA or other volunteers. 

The start date for the position is negotiable, targeting for the first part of August 2020. The salary range for the position is from $70,616.00 -$106,815.48 (depending on qualifications and relevant work experience. Major benefits complete the compensation package.
