2021 Internship Program

We are a financial cooperative (owned and governed by our customer-members) that exists to improve the lives of our customers and employees, the communities where we work and raise our families, and the Northwest agriculture, food, and fiber industries, by providing reliable, consistent credit and financial services. Our customers are farmers, ranchers, commercial fishermen, forest products producers, and rural homeowners in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, California and Alaska.
We are currently recruiting students interested in a variety of careers throughout our association. The Northwest FCS Internship program is designed to provide a realistic job preview and insight to the career opportunities and potential that exists within Northwest FCS. Interns are assigned to a designated trainer and complete a formal training action plan, exposing them to a variety of positions and areas of our business.
•Status: Students must be of Junior or Senior status.
•Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Ag Economics, Ag Business or related fields.
•Preferred coursework: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Farm and Ranch Management, Business Management, Marketing and related courses.
•Skills: Strong communication, marketing, analytical and computer skills, and leadership ability demonstrated through involvement in extracurricular activities and outside work experience. An agriculture background is desirable.
