Financial Administrator

Job Description: Support the financial administration activities within the department. Provide transactional oversight, applying industry and professional standards, university policy and procedure, federal and state laws and other regulations (as applicable). Represent business area on internal and/or external financial affairs by exchanging information. Work on FASIS payroll entry, post-award workbooks/budget projections, providing backup support as needed. Will supervise part-time 2 students as required. 

Job Requirements: BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ACCOUNTANCY or related. 1 month experience as an accounting intern or related. Experience must have included performing internal control analyses to improve accounting and business processes; assessing risk and identifying ways to increase profitability through monthly and quarterly financial reports analyses; creating a managerial accounting report, communicating and analyzing monthly business performance and recommending better business practices with upper management. Experience must also have included collaborating in the preparation of an annual financial report.
