The Puget Sound Marine Groundfish Senior Research Scientist is the agency expert on the biology, ecology, and status of Puget Sound marine groundfish resources.
As an expert level Scientist, you will be responsible for planning, developing and designing professional biological studies, research and resource assessments for groundfish in the inland marine waters of Washington.
With your experience, you will be the Director’s designated consultant on Puget Sound marine groundfish management issues.
This is an opportunity for an experienced leader to effectively communicate scientific results and management recommendations at scientific meetings, management briefings and public meetings.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, creative and can develop innovative solutions to complex problems in the office and in the field.
