Regional Director – Year-Round-Positions
 
Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB) is in its 105th year of educating children throughout Arizona who are hard of hearing, deaf or have vision loss. Committed to excellence and innovation, and serving this community through: early child hood programs; day and residential programs; conveniently provided on our campuses and cooperatives, we collaborate with families, school districts, communities and other agencies, to facilitate success now and in the future for our students.
 
We are seeking dynamic leaders to implement and manage ASDB’s Regional Cooperative Programs, is effective in building collaborative relationships with stakeholders, part-time road warrior and
has the organizational skills to manage a team of itinerant teachers. We are hiring three positions located in the following areas:
 
Phoenix

This position is full-time and works 12 months a year, Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
 
Compensation Package:
Salary up to $90,600 DOE

Training and Experience:
  • Leadership and supervision of school programs
  • Educational Administration: School Finance; Budget Management; Grant Management

  • Recruiting, Developing and Supervising Staff

Licensing Requirements
  • Master’s Degree Special Education or Multiply Disabled, Severe Sensory Impairment (preferred)
  • Teaching experience
  • Certified or Certifiable by Arizona Board of Education as a Supervisor or Principal
  • Certified or Certifiable by Arizona Board of Education as a Teacher (Deaf/HH or VI) or related area (preferred)
  • Pass FBI/State Background Check
  • Complete online Defensive Driver Training Program
  • Frequent travel throughout the Region/State
