Camas County 4-H Youth Development Intern

Job Description:
•Increase and implement knowledge of county, state, and national 4-H curriculum and engage with clientele of allages, backgrounds, and interests in planning and implementing experiential learning summer opportunities foryouth
•Interact with the public, promoting University of Idaho Extension Programs
•Assist with planning, volunteer recruitment, and implementing summer program with University of IdahoExtension staff and community partners.
•Strengthen computer and writing skills
•Research and writing possible funding grants
•Write program reports
•Duties as requested
Required Qualifications:
•Ability to provide reliable transportation
•Pass a criminal background check
•Complete an Internship Application and provide three references
Desired Qualifications:
•Registered in an Idaho Post-Secondary Program
•Outgoing and comfortable working with the public (youth and adults) and volunteers
•Self-motivated and works independently
•Enjoys working with youth of all ages
•Has experience with social media, responding to email, and communicating through UI webpages and Facebook
•Enjoys working in a variety of settings and environments with diverse audiences
•Team player and works well with others

Wages/Benefits:
•Hourly rate of $12.00 per hour, maximum of 340 hours
Work Dates:
•June 1st – July 31st, 2021, some evening and weekend hours may be required. Unpaid leave on Memorial Dayand July 4th.
