Entry Level Architectural Staff

Wattenbarger Architects is looking for entry level architectural staff. We have several exciting new mixed use / senior housing projects in the Puget sound area and are looking to fill this position immediately. Founded in 1980, Wattenbarger Architects is located in Bellevue WA. Our office is conveniently located off of 520 and has free parking and easy access to transit. Our firms historic focus is on senior housing, including independent, assisted living, and memory care. More recently we have expanded or focus to include mixed use and multifamily residential design. Wattenbarger Architects has completed projects across the country and has active projects in Washington, California, Oregon, and Hawaii, and is actively licensed in 13 states. We are looking for a candidate with a professional degree in architecture. Some experience is preferred but we are open to considering individuals new to the profession if we feel they may be a good fit for our team. Applicants should be proficient in Revit as well as MS Office. We are willing to provide training, but some experience with Revit or similar BIM software is a requirement. Experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Powerpoint, and other graphics, rendering and presentation software is a +. Applicants should also have good verbal and written communications skills.

We are a small firm, with a current staff of 14. We take our work seriously, but have a relaxed atmosphere. We are not currently open to telecommuting on a regular basis, but do try to allow for flexibility in schedule to help our employees maintain a healthy work life balance.

General Responsibilities will depend upon the skills and experience of the candidate and may include the following.
• Develop architectural designs from conceptual ideas working with Project Managers and senior design staff.
• Provide construction document drafting, coordination, and support using Revit.
• Coordination with other design consultants and other stakeholders in the project.
• Provide assistance with code studies and analysis.
• Assistance in applying for required approvals by the AHJ.
• Product and design research in support of projects.
• Provide construction administration services in support of projects.
