Summer Architectural Intern
Unique Summer Internship Opportunity
Are you interested in construction and development as well as great design? Projects on the books this summer include oceanfront remodel/addition, a new home in Liberty Lake, WA, and our primary focus is a mixed used development in Coeur d’Alene under construction that includes our new office space.
If you are looking for a strictly office job or a corporate CD-drafting job, this isn’t it. A typical day could include being on site for an inspection in the morning, researching interior finishes and specs, coordinating with County planning on permit status, and drafting preliminary design as well as construction drawings. As a small firm, intern will work directly with office manager and principal architect.
We are looking for a summer intern to assist with the following tasks:
- Interior specifications/research
- On-site construction management and coordination with subconsultants.
- Hands-on construction support a possibility (if interested)
- Construction drawing support
- Code research, permit application support, and design review commission support document development
Position Requirements:
- Current Architecture or Construction Management Student
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to learn ArchiCAD (BIM design software). Experience a plus.
- Competency in MSOffice Suite
- 25-35 hours/week
Location: Downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. As a resort community, housing is tight. Position is best suited for someone who has housing secured in area.
Compensation based upon level of education and experience. Position start and end date may be flexible. Please indicate availability if varies from posting. Position open until filled.
