Melaleuca is positioned to grow even more rapidly in upcoming years. To help keep up with this growth we are looking for outstanding individuals to be part of our R&D Group.

Overview

The R&D intern performs a wide variety of routine and technical tasks in support of specific Melaleuca new or existing products under the supervision of the R&D Scientist. These tasks are highly specific and usually require the use of quantitative methods and the application of technical judgment by the R&D intern and the R&D scientist.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sensory and in-home-use tests of trial compositions, Melaleuca products, and competitive products
  • R&D function in support of QA, Operations, Purchasing, and Marketing activities
  • Prepare data summaries using appropriate mathematical and statistical tools available in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications

Qualifications

  • Preference given to students currently in their junior or senior year of college, majoring in a science related field
  • Able to work in Idaho Falls, Idaho for approximately 90 days during your program dates 
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher 
  • An extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office-particularly Word Documents, Excel spreadsheets, and Access databases
  • Knowledge of commonly used lab instruments
  • Familiarity with basic statistical tests
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
