Environmental Education Internship

Position Description: 
Environmental Education Interns receive training from professional naturalists to teach a variety of programs to visitors of all ages, help with ongoing projects, and assist with care and handling for animal ambassadors including reptiles, amphibians and birds of prey. Opportunities available to learn techniques for developing and evaluating environmental education programs, marketing programs, and non-profit operations. In addition, interns at CNC are expected to design and complete an individual project of their choice. 
Benefits:
Benefits include professional training and regular evaluations, hands-on work experience in environmental education, academic credit (optional), on-site housing and a $150 weekly reimbursement for each full time intern.
 Qualifications:
CNC is seeking interns who have a desire to pursue a career in environmental education, have a general knowledge of natural history, have an ability to relate well to a variety of ages and abilities, are self-motivated and reliable, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Hiring preference is given to junior or senior students who are pursuing a degree in a related field.
