Airport Firefighter and Operations Specialist

The primary responsibility of an Aircraft Rescue Firefighter (ARFF) crew member is to provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to the commercial flights that service the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport. In addition to these fire duties, crew members perform some basic operation duties for the Airport that include daily inspections, cleaning of facilities, snow removal, light maintenance, and a variety of other tasks.

The Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport Fire Department will fully equip and train a successful applicant to perform all the duties listed above. Additionally the department sponsors further training activities to those interested.

Crew members work rotating shifts of primarily nights and weekends. The department is flexible and will always work around class schedules.

Applicants should be self-motivated and hard working. They should be able to work well alone as well as with a team in potentially high stress situations. No prior experience is necessary, but familiarity with the operation of vehicles, heavy equipment, and hand tools is a plus. A valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check is required. Applicants must also be able and willing to commit to a minimum of two-years of employment.
