Lab assistant Microbiology

Are you interested in microbiology? The Unlu lab is looking for undergraduate laboratory assistants to help in both a teaching lab and a research lab setting. Duties will include the following:

-       Microbiological media and buffer preparation, organization, setup, and cleanup assistance in a microbiology teaching laboratory

-       Sample collection, analysis, media preparation, organization, and cleanup assistance in a microbiology research laboratory

-       Data entry

Work hours can be built around your schedule during regular business hours. There may be opportunity to conduct an independent research project, depending upon interest and experience.

Required qualifications:

-       Interest in microbiology

-       Ability to work independently and with others

-       Attention to detail

-       Good communication skills

-       Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and web searches
