Point Blue’s Students & Teachers Restoring A Watershed (STRAW) program is seeking Apprentices to assist in habitat restoration projects. Point Blue Conservation Science is a non-profit organization headquartered in Petaluma, CA with over 160 scientists working to develop nature-based solutions to climate change, habitat loss, and other environmental threats around the world. During the academic school year, the STRAW team works with over 50 (K-12th grade) schools throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Students participate in professional habitat restoration implementation while learning about the importance of wildlife habitat and healthy communities. The Apprentice will help in a primarily field-based role to facilitate student and staff planting days, lead work groups, organize logistics, and support team members.
